This policy explains how Shiu Lung Kung Fu Pty Ltd ABN 80 106 583 591, trading as AEGIDŌ (“we”, “us”), collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information when you use aegidomartialarts.shop. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

The personal information we collect

Depending on how you use our store, we may collect:

• Order details: your name, delivery address, billing address, email address, phone number, and what you ordered.
• Account details: if you create an account, your name, email address, a password (stored in encrypted form), and your order history.
• Membership details: if you are a member of our school, your membership status and membership level, so we can give you access to members-only products.
• Payment information: payments are processed by WooPayments (WooCommerce Payments). We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us when you contact us, including photos you send about a problem with an order.
• Technical information: information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, and cookies needed for your cart, checkout and login to work.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information, such as health information.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list, or contact us. If you are a member of our school, we may add your membership status to your account ourselves.

You can browse our store without telling us who you are. We need your name and delivery details to fulfil an order, and members need an account to see members-only products.

Why we collect it

We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to:

• process, produce and deliver your order
• take payment
• provide customer service, including handling returns and refunds
• manage your account and give members access to members-only products
• send you marketing emails, but only if you have opted in
• keep the records we must keep under Australian tax and business law
• protect our store against fraud and misuse.

Who we share it with

We only share the personal information needed for each purpose:

• Our production partners, Printful and Printify, who make and ship your order. They receive your name, delivery address, the items you ordered and, where needed for delivery, your email address and phone number.
• Delivery couriers, who receive what they need to deliver your parcel.
• Our payment provider, WooPayments (WooCommerce Payments), which processes your payment.
• Our website hosting provider, Hostinger, which stores our website and its data.
• Anyone we are required or authorised to disclose it to under Australian law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Disclosure overseas

Some of these providers are based, or process information, outside Australia:

• Printful and Printify: their parent companies are in the United States, and their affiliates in other countries including Latvia, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
• Hostinger: Hostinger International Ltd is based in Cyprus. Our website is hosted on a server located in Singapore
• Our payment provider: Woo Payments System.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails if you opt in. Every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time using the contact details below.

Cookies

Our store uses cookies that are needed for your cart, checkout and login to work.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may then stop working.

We use Google analytics for additional website traffic results.

How we protect it

Our store uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to run the store. When we no longer need personal information for any purpose, and are not required by law to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you.

Junior members

Our store accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian should create the account and place orders for a junior member of our school.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing aegidomartialarts@gmail.com. You can also update your account details yourself by logging in to your account. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Making a complaint

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please email aegidomartialarts@gmail.com and tell us what happened. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it, and aim to give you a written response within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
