There is a story behind these symbols.

A.D.A  “Ardito Defence Academy” is not something I created just to have a business name. It grew from my life, my martial arts journey and my belief that the knowledge I have spent decades learning and developing should be shared with people who genuinely need it.

The word Ardito carries the meaning of a courageous, bold and fearless warrior. The Phoenix Rising represents something very personal to what I believe that even after difficult times, setbacks and moments when life knocks us down, we can rise again. Not necessarily unchanged, but stronger, wiser and ready to keep moving forward.

The Dragon represents strength and protection and also honours the history behind my journey. Shiu Lung, meaning “Little Dragon”, carries a connection to the company and to the martial arts masters who came before me and helped shape the path I walked.

The Shield represents protection, safety and resilience a reminder that we all deserve to feel protected, empowered and strong enough to face whatever life places in our path.

And then there is AEGIDŌ.

AEGIDŌ is the result of many years of experience, teaching, practical testing and questioning how we can better protect ourselves without simply relying on size or strength. I wanted to create something that could help an ordinary person feel more capable something built around awareness, timing, calmness, confidence and resilience.

Because this has never really been about fighting for me.

It is about helping someone who is frightened feel less frightened.

Helping someone who feels weak discover their strength.

Helping someone who has been knocked down find the courage to stand again.

That is what A.D.A and AEGIDŌ mean to me.

The products in this shop carry those symbols, but hopefully they also carry that message. And every purchase helps us continue building the school, improving our equipment and supporting programs that educate, protect and empower people.

I don’t know how far this journey will go. But after everything I’ve experienced, I know one thing:

If something I created can make even one person’s life a little stronger, safer or more confident then it has all been worth it.
